     Welcome Grade 8 to a special poetry unit, made with you in mind! During this unit you will have time to read poems by others and complete a group task called " Readers Theatre: Poetry Expression" before you begin to write your own poems.  This will be a two week unit. I have made links to sites that may be of help to you.

     Welcome Grade 7  to your special poetry unit, that will introduce you to some especially neat poems. This unit will concentrate on what good poetry looks like and how to write it. I will be using Nancie Atwell's 'Naming Your World' teaching strategies to help familiarize you to the world of poetry.
